workshop for adults

How can we reflect on or rewrite our personal web search history? What is the privacy of the screen? Is the search history an archive of ourself? Can we create something new out of the personal data collected on us by Internet platforms? The use of search engines is an integral part of the everyday lives of most people online. What colour, shape, smell or tune have our personal data? Define characteristics for our daily search engine data, and explore their weight, volume and quantity, bending them with image, sound, text and 3D printing technologies, to give shape to your personalized search history.

A workshop on the ever relevant theme of managing our personal data, in a context of debate and increasing awareness. During the concluding phase of the workshop, once participants have shaped their data into a solid or non solid form, they will have to decide whether they are going to delete their search history, in exchange for a personalized Certificate of Deletion.

The workshop is designed as part of the work Deletion Process_Only you can see my history and the research paper published on Leonardo 49:4, The Journal of the International Society of the Arts, Sciences and Technology, of MIT.
